1. Grant of License

Ultra Loader is provided free of charge. The developer (referred to as "we," "us," or "the project") grants you a non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to install and use Ultra Loader on personal computers that you own or control, strictly for personal, non commercial purposes.

This license does not grant you any rights to resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Ultra Loader or any output produced by it.

2. What Ultra Loader Is

Ultra Loader is an original, clean room arcade execution engine. It contains no copyrighted game code, no extracted game assets, and no proprietary firmware from any third party. It is built entirely from original development work. The software speaks to arcade hardware protocols and operating system interfaces. It does not include, embed, or distribute any game files of any kind.

3. Game Files and Your Responsibility

Ultra Loader does not provide, distribute, or endorse the sourcing of any game files. To use Ultra Loader with a game, you must supply your own copy of that game's files. The legality of possessing and running arcade game dumps varies by jurisdiction, the source of the files, and the stance of individual rights holders.

By using Ultra Loader, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the legality of any game files you run with it. The project takes no responsibility for how you source or use those files. We built the engine. You decide how to use it.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

5. Firmware Modules

Firmware modules distributed alongside Ultra Loader are the intellectual property of the project's developer, and any respective contributors to the project. They are provided under the same terms as this agreement. Firmware modules do not contain any copyrighted game content. They contain only original hook code, configuration data, and board specific compatibility logic written by the project's contributors.

6. No Warranty

Ultra Loader is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. The project does not warrant that the software will be error free, uninterrupted, or compatible with any particular game or hardware configuration.

Use of Ultra Loader is at your own risk. The project is not responsible for any damage to your hardware, software, data, or any other property resulting from use of the software.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the project, its contributors, or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use Ultra Loader, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Updates and Continuity

The project may release updates to Ultra Loader at any time. Updates may change functionality, remove features, or alter these terms. Continued use of the software after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised terms. The project reserves the right to discontinue Ultra Loader at any time without notice, though this is not our intent.

9. The Project's Commitment

While not a legally binding section, we want to be transparent about what we have committed to the community and intend to honor regardless of circumstance:

These are promises to the community, not legally enforceable obligations. We include them here because we believe they belong in writing, in a place where anyone can find them.

Privacy Policy

Ultra Loader does not collect, transmit, or store any data about you automatically. There is no background telemetry, no analytics, no silent crash reporting, and no automatic update checks. The software runs entirely on your local machine. Nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to send it to us voluntarily (Game Reports).

Ultra Loader gives you the option to submit a bug report and diagnostic log when something goes wrong. This is entirely and 100% voluntary. No report is ever sent without your explicit action, no matter what. You initiate it, you review what it contains, and you decide whether to send it. If you choose not to, nothing is transmitted. Reports you do submit are used only to diagnose and fix the issue you are reporting and are not shared with third parties or used for any other purposes.

Your settings, controller configurations, and game data are stored locally in ultra.ini and related files on your own machine. The project has no access to these files unless you choose to share them yourself, such as when filing a bug report.

This website may collect standard web server access logs (IP address, browser, referrer, page visited) for security, uptime, and voting processes only. These logs are not shared, sold, or used for advertising. The vote feature on the Vote! page stores votes server side (game title and timestamp only, no identifying information) to tally community requests. No cookies beyond those strictly necessary for site function are set, and no third party tracking scripts are loaded on this site.

10. Governing Terms

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the project regarding Ultra Loader and supersedes all prior understandings. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

By downloading or using Ultra Loader, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this agreement.
